Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS) has been serving the community for more than 140 years, and has been providing care for over 450,000 outpatients annually. In 2014, citizens of Maricopa County voted to pass Proposition 480 - a move to rebrand MIHS as Valleywise Health - taking a tremendous leap forward in their ability to care for and serve members of the community that need it most. This includes working to reduce/eliminate health inequalities and cultural barriers in the growing refugee and immigrant community in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
My role in this long-term project was to implement the MIHS rebrand into the new Valleywise Health design system across their website, photography and marketing/advertising collateral. With a goal of spreading brand awareness and increasing the number of clinic and community center visits/appointment bookings, I helped restructure the information architecture, navigation and design of their website to make it a more user-friendly, welcoming and seamless experience to better serve the audience of Maricopa County and help Valleywise Health's visual footprint match the impact they have been making in the community over decades.
